Gavin Rossdale “Wanderlust”

As some of you might know Gavin Rossdale released his first solo album on June 1st, 2008. I have to say before listening to it I was a bit skeptical. I wondered if Rossdale would be able to hold onto the same sound and magnetism that he had when he was lead singer of Bush & Institute. Would he keep the unique lyrics that could be heard in his former releases?
I know there are some that would just buy it because he was singing, because quite frankly if he sang nothing more than the phone book listings from A-Z, people would buy his cd. That being said, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this cd. Gavin Rossdale was still able to hold onto his roots, but the change in the music and the man was subtle. Well that’s my opinion, feel free to come to your own conclusions….
