The Kingdom Center – Ventura CA

The Kingdom Center is quite possibly the coolest thing we’ve seen “the church” do. They pick up the homeless each day, bring them to the church and offer them food, clothing, showers, counseling, etc. Then, if that wasn’t enough, they bought an beat up motel next to the ocean and convinced 18 churches in the Ventura community to join together and sponsor individual rooms as transitional family housing.

Skid Row: Union Rescue Mission with CEO Andy Bales

While helping out on Skid Row Enoch Magazine had the chance to interview Andy Bales, CEO, of the Union Rescue Mission Mission on Skid Row. Listen to Andy talk about getting fired from his church because he had such a strong passion for the homeless.
