Brooklyn Booschwa Mix 4

By Nate • Nov 18th, 2008 •

Another amazing creation fueled by jet lag and insomnia. Many late nights and coffee went into this mix. Every once in a while it seems time to pull out the weird records in my collection and try to work them into a mix. If you want to hear something in a mix or know make dj mixes yourself then please drop Enoch Magazine a line. This is the weirdest mix done to date…But it’s awesome.

Brooklyn Booschwa MIX 3

By Carter • Nov 3rd, 2008 •

The Brooklyn Booschwa comes through with another mix. We found this old Bible Story record 2-disc set in an old-school thrift store in eastern Oregon. The lady at the counter was not stoked that a couple of city slickers were in there buying terrible Christian records to scratch. Oh, and they had no "credit card" machine so we could only buy the essentials, (since we only carried $8 bucks).

Brooklyn Booschwa MIX 1

By Carter • Nov 1st, 2008 •

Obviously this is the first mix that The Brooklyn Booschwa ever did. Perhaps the B/B did not even exist until once the mix was complete. But although this mix is shorter than it’s successors, it is still unique. This is the only mix done completely live with no editing or tracking. It features artists: De La Soul, Steady Diggin Workshop, Mutemath, Martin Luther King, Braille, Paul Wright, LA Express, Soul P., Gang Star, and Soul Plasma.

Halloween Single - Frankenstein

By Carter • Oct 21st, 2008 •

Frankenstein is from Braille’s (of Lightheaded) new record produced completely by S1 of Strange Fruit Project. We are leaking his first single this week and it’s called Frankenstein. The timing is perfect considering Halloween, although the song wasn’t created specifically for this holiday. Braille told Enoch Magazine, “It’s a concept record but we couldn’t resist the opportunity to leak it out knowing that the ‘theme’ is so fitting for the season.”

recordings from events he performs at. Being a Dj is all about sharing mixes and working together. This recording was taken from the URBAN YOUTH WORKERS INSTITUTE event in Los Angeles. This mix would have been great to hear for the first time at the convention.
